South Africa scrape through

The Boks almost imploded against the Fijians in a similar performance to the one against Tonga. Once again they fell into the trap of trying to play too expansively, a ploy which suited their opponent’s Sevens-style rugby. At 20-all in the second half it looked as if Fiji were on the way to creating another upset. Credit to South Africa though, they slowed play down and used their forward power to score a brace of tries late in the game to seal it 37-20.
